Summary

The EPA Mid-Atlantic Region and Prince William County Public Schools (PWCPS) have agreed to a settlement in principle for alleged violations to the Clean Water Act.  PWCPS will sign a Consent Agreement and Final Order pursuant to CWA Section 309 to address allegations of PWCPS’s failure to comply with requirements of the General Virginia Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (VPDES) Permit for Discharges of Stormwater from Construction Activities, VAR10, No. VAR10I177 (the 2014 General Permit).  PWCPS will pay a civil monetary penalty of $28,800.
