Section 608 Technician Certification Programs
This list will be updated when other technician certification programs are approved. Programs appearing on this list are approved to provide the EPA technician certification test. Programs offering Type I tests using the mail-in option, are noted. Unless otherwise indicated, those programs also provide on-site testing. In addition, EPA does not review or approve any training preparatory programs or materials. Please note: The addresses and phone numbers listed below are for the programs' headquarters. Many programs offer testing locations throughout the country. Each program will be able to provide you with their testing locations.
For further information concerning section 608 of the Clean Air Act, or any other issue related to stratospheric ozone protection, please call the Stratospheric Ozone Information Hotline at (800) 296-1996.
Please follow this link for a separate listing of certifying programs that no longer offer testing services. Certification credentials issued by these programs during the time that they were approved are still valid.
