EPA Helps Estuary Programs Adapt to Climate Change

EPA is awarding financial and technical assistance to three National Estuary Programs in Region 2 to support their efforts to plan and adapt to climate change in estuaries: Barnegat Bay National Estuary Program Exit EPA disclaimer , Long Island Sound Study Exit EPA disclaimer and Partnership for the Delaware Estuary Exit EPA disclaimer .

This assistance is provided through EPA's Climate Ready Estuaries program, the goal of which is to build local ability to adapt to climate change.

Raritan Valley Community College in Green Partnership with EPA

Raritan Valley Community College, in Branchburg, New Jersey, has committed to build on efforts already in place to reduce its carbon footprint by signing an agreement that outlines goals and strategies for energy and water conservation, solid waste management, green design and transportation. The agreement is the first of its kind between EPA and a community college.
