Jointly released by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the city of Phoenix, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories, and the American Association of Electroplaters and Surface Finishers 
EVENT:    To launch an innovative pollution prevention project at 
          three metal finishing facilities in Phoenix
          
DATE:     Monday, April 22, 1996
TIME:     10 a.m. 
LOCATION: METCO Metal Finishing Inc., 3508 E. Corona Ave., a 
          block south of Broadway. The event will be held in 
          a dock area at the front of the facility.
PARTICIPANTS:          
          Karen Heidel, deputy director for the Arizona 
          Department of Environmental Quality;
          David Gardiner, assistant administrator with U.S. EPA's 
          Office of Policy, Planning and Evaluation; 
          The city of Phoenix;
          Jim Brown, viceŠpresident of METCO Metal Finishing      
          Inc.; 
          Steve Starr, branch president of the Phoenix            
          Chapter of the American Electroplaters and Surface      
          Finishers; 
          Armand Mesey, viceŠpresident of Astroplate              
          Inc.; and,
          Ellen Raber, deputy department head of the              
          Environmental Protection Department of Lawrence         
          Livermore Laboratories.
