EPA TO HOLD PUBLIC AVAILABILITY SESSION REGARDING THE NORTH BELMONT PCE SITE IN NORTH BELMONT, GASTON COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will hold a public availability session regarding the North Belmont PCE site in North Belmont, Gaston County, North Carolina on Monday, June 5, 2000. The availability session will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the North Belmont Elementary School, 210 School Street in North Belmont.
EPA officials will be available to provide information, answer questions, and address concerns regarding the groundwater contamination from the site and potential remedies. The alternatives proposed for consideration include: no action, connect to Belmont city water, or add a carbon filter onto well. All interested persons are encouraged to attend.
