FRIDAY: EPA Administrator Visiting Georgia Tech to Discuss Manufacturing Innovation and Environmental Sustainability
ATLANTA - On Friday, EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy will visit Georgia Tech to speak about the connection between manufacturing innovation and environmental sustainability. McCarthy will meet with more than 50 high school students and faculty participating in the 2016 Inventure Challenge. The competition, which about 50 area high schools are joining, serves as a venue for broadening participation and diversity of K-12 students into the STEM pipeline. This will be followed by a tour of the Georgia Tech Manufacturing Institute. The institute brings together top researchers and thought leaders to focus on U.S. jobs growth, global competitiveness, and advancing economic and environmental sustainability.
