An Environmental Indicator (EI) inspection was conducted at the former Anvil Products facility in July 2003 to determine whether human exposures to contamination and migration of contaminated groundwater are under control. Based on this investigation and a site visit conducted by EPA in August 2009, both EIs were determined to be under control. A Statement of Basis proposing that Corrective Action is Complete without Controls at the Facility was published for public comment, and the Final Decision of Corrective Action Complete without Controls was finalized in September 2009.

The former Anvil facility is currently owned by Haber Associates, who purchased the site, now known as Allison Park Industrial Complex, in 1988 and leases its buildings to several tenants that generate no hazardous wastes. The seven-acre site is located in Allison Park, Hampton Township, Pennsylvania. Anvil purchased the site in 1928 and manufactured threaded steel pipe couplings for the oil and gas industry from 1930 to 1985 and bomb plugs during World War II. The main buildings located on the site are Anvil's former plating plant (adjacent to road), wastewater treatment plant (middle building), and warehouse and machine shop processing area (adjacent to Pine Creek).
Primary contaminants included acidic/caustic wastes and cyanide-containing wastes from the Facility's plating processes. After a cyanide spill in December 1979 that resulted in a fish kill in Pine Creek, the Facility eliminated their use of cyanide in their process and eventually clean-closed the two holding basins on-site. Operations at the Facility ceased in 1985 and all process equipment was cleaned and removed.
Primary contaminants included acidic/caustic wastes and cyanide-containing wastes from the Facility's plating processes.
Institutional controls were not required at the site.
The site has an unused parcel.
Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Corrective Action activities at this facility have been conducted under the direction of EPA Region 3.
