NOx Ozone Season Group 3 Trading Program under the Revised Cross-State Air Pollution Rule (CSAPR) Update

2021 and 2022 Important Dates

On March 15, 2021, EPA finalized the Revised Cross-State Air Pollution Rule Update for the 2008 ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards. Starting in the 2021 ozone season, the rule will require additional emissions reductions of nitrogen oxides (NOX) from power plants in 12 states under the NOX Ozone Season Group 3 Trading Program. This list highlights key initial implementation dates for this program.
