2021 P3 Expo - Solar Window for Water Collection and Purification
Yale University, New Haven, CT

This project addresses strategic water and energy management techniques for the built environment through investigating the integration of novel enhanced Solar Water Disinfection (SODIS) techniques into a building envelope assembly, towards increasing the viability of on-site renewable energy-based water recuperation.
The team comprises of Yale Center for Ecosystems in Architecture, and Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering collaborators: Anna Dyson (PI), Jaehong Kim (Co-PI), Mandi Pretorius (student team leader), and Inhyeong Jeon, with advising from Eric Ryberg, Nick Novelli and Xuanhao Wu (Post-doctoral Associates).
