2021 P3 Expo - VOC Sensors for ppb-Level Detection and Speciation

Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA

Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA P3 Team

The research focuses on the development of low-cost sensors for detecting VOCs (volatile organic compounds) in air. We have completed initial testing of several different sets of sensors. The next step is to build calibration algorithms and select a final sensor package to deploy in indoor and outdoor environments.

The current and former team consists of six undergraduate students (Sebastian Garcia, Sophia Hoche, Shifali Kerudi, Max Labovitz, Patrick Phelan, Krystal Suero) led by two different postdocs (Jiayu Li and Tofigh Sayahi) and the PI.
