COBRA Future Input Files

COBRA’s Desktop Edition includes default data that allows the user to select input files for population data, incidence data, and valuation data for the years 2016, 2023, and 2028. COBRA also includes a feature allowing users to import custom versions of these files for other years in the Advanced Options tab.

In addition to the input files already included, users can import population, incidence, and valuation datasets from the Environmental Benefits Mapping and Analysis Program (BenMAP), which EPA has formatted for use in COBRA for select future years: 2030, 2035, 2040, 2045, and 2050.

These future year datasets can be downloaded using the links below and used with the Desktop Edition of COBRA to analyze impacts of emissions changes in future years.

Note that COBRA is not limited to analyzing only these years. You can develop inputs for any year, in the format described in Chapter 3 of the COBRA's User Manual.

To assist users with analyzing results from multiple years, EPA has developed a Multi-Year Scenario Analysis Tool. This tool will import results from multiple years of COBRA runs and interpolate between years to show the total benefits throughout the analysis period.
