ERT: Data Management & Training

ERT provides resources related to data acquisition and data management. ERT provides state-of-the-art environmental monitoring with the VIPER data telemetry system, which combines environmental instruments and software, to provide remote, real-time data for a variety of applications. This includes air monitoring support, community air monitoring, and project support. ERT also provides software to help EPA On-Scene Coordinators (OSCs), Remedial Project Managers (RPMs) and other project leaders in environmental data needs.

ERT is also required to provide training to meet the needs of response personnel. This includes providing formal and informal training on subjects related to environmental response, technical procedures and health & safety. This can include in-person trainings, webinars and online courses which are mostly managed through the Environmental Response Training Program (ERTP). Most of the classes can be found under the ERTP section on the TrainEx website. ERT also provides hands-on training, gives presentations at national and international conferences, providing training to EPA's Regional office as well as tribal, state and local offices.
