Gold King Mine Documents - August 28, 2015

    Without deciding the issue, this Consent Decree settlement resolved a disagreement between Sunnyside Gold Corporation and the Colorado Water Quality Control Division concerning whether seeps and springs that may arise from placing bulkheads in the American Tunnel would be subject to Clean Water Act jurisdiction as point sources. This settlement allowed Sunnyside to complete reclamation of the American Tunnel and Sunnyside Mine and terminate Colorado Discharge Pollutant Permits held by Sunnyside.
