Emergency Response to August 2015 Release from Gold King Mine

To continue to provide as much information as possible to the public and maintain the greatest degree of transparency, EPA has released a number of videos related to the Gold King Mine incident.

September 15, 2015 Updated:

The following videos were taken by EPA's staff photographer on August 14, 2015 at the Gold King Mine site. The videos show EPA on-scene coordinators and other agency staff informally discussing the incident; their conversations do not necessarily provide full context, nor do they necessarily represent the agency's official view. Captions have been added to make them accessible to people with disabilities.

September 2, 2015 Updated:

The following videos were released to the public on September 2, 2015 after EPA became aware that the videos were taken by EPA contractors who were on-site during the Gold King Mine release. For easier viewing, some of the videos have been rotated so they are no longer upside down. In addition, EPA removed profanity contained in the audio of the videos and obscured visible license plates for privacy purposes. EPA did not edit the videos in any other way.
