Rule Summary

The Control of Hazardous Air Pollutants From Mobile Sources final rule (also known as the Mobile Source Air Toxics rule or MSAT2) was published on February 26, 2007. This rule requires that refiners and importers produce gasoline that has an annual average benzene content of 0.62 volume percent (vol%) or less beginning in 2011. Revisions to the rule were published on October 16, 2008.
