EPA to Hold Training and Open House on August 29 for Michner Plating-Mechanic Street Superfund Site in Jackson, Michigan

CHICAGO (August 21, 2024) - On Thursday, August 29, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will hold an open house and “Superfund 101” training for residents to learn more about the cleanup of the Michner Plating-Mechanic Street Superfund site located at 520 North Mechanic St., Jackson, Michigan.  

Attendees will learn about the Superfund process from start to finish and share questions and concerns with the site team. Representatives from Michigan’s Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy and Michigan’s Department of Health & Human Services will also attend with local partners. 

When:             Thursday, August 29, 4:30 p.m.  

Where:            American 1 Convention Center 
                           128 Ganson St.  
                           Jackson, Mich.
