MyEnvironment: How to Use this Page

Open MyEnvironment to see environmental information for a location you choose. Enter a street address, ZIP code, city, county, park, watershed, or waterbody name to view local results.

Find a location

Start at MyEnvironment. Type a location (for example, “Baltimore, MD” or “80203”) and submit to see results for that area.

You can search by street address, ZIP code, city, county, watershed or waterbody name, national park, or other commonly used place names.

What you’ll see on the results page

The results page is organized into sections. Use the on-page links, icons, or your browser’s scroll to move between sections. Each section highlights key information for your selected area and links to more detail.


MyMap

  • View an interactive map of your area. You can optionally show EPA-regulated facilities on the map.
  • From the MyMap page you can:
    • Add map contents: turn program layers on or off (for example, facilities).
    • Print map: open a printable view and use your browser’s print function.
    • Download data: select a layer to download (formats include Shapefile, spreadsheet/CSV, or KML).
    • Share map: copy a map link or embed code to share on a website.

Note: Facility and chemical information shown on maps comes from EPA program systems. Those systems collect and maintain the underlying data.

MyAir

  • See Air Quality Index (AQI) information and historical air quality data for your area.
  • The MyAir page includes (where available): AQI data (Current, Forecast, and Historical), UV Index data, Air Facilities Map, Air Data Trends, and Radon information by state.

MyWater

  • See surface waters conditions for your area.
  • The MyWater page includes (where available): Water Quality Assessment data, map with water data layers, Drinking Water Sources, New/Expiring Permits, and Streamflow data.

MyEnergy

  • Explore energy production vs. consumption information at the state or local level (where available).
  • The MyEnergy page includes (where available): Energy Production data, link to AgSTAR Partners, map of Anaerobic Digester Projects in the U.S., link to NREL In My Backyard tool, link to Home Energy Saver, link to NREL Biopower tool, Energy Facilities map, link for GHG data, Landfill Gas (LFG) Energy Projects map, link to Fuel Cost Calculator tool, Energy Star Tip of the Day, and link for Appliance Rebate Programs.

MyHealth

  • View EPA Cancer Risk for Air Toxics Estimates by County.
  • The MyHealth page includes (where available): Cancer Risk data, Low Birth Weight data, Infant Mortality Rate data, and a map with health-related data.

MyClimate

  • View greenhouse gas emissions by sector.
  • The MyClimate page includes (where available): Greenhouse Gas Emissions State and County Comparisons, map and graphs for Large Greenhouse Gas Emissions, Precipitation Change, Impacts on Water Resources, Hurricane strike data, Temperature change information, links to Climate Change indicators data, and Your Carbon Footprint links.

MyLand

  • Find land-related information for your area.
  • The MyLand page includes (where available): map with land-related content, Food Waste information, Excess Food map, Brownfields, Superfund and Hazardous Waste information links, and a link to Cleanups in My Community.

To explore another area, return to the search box on the page and enter a new address, ZIP code, or place name. The page will refresh with updated information for that location.
