Notification: Independent Audit of the EPA’s Fiscal Year 2025 Toxic Substances Control Act Service Fee Fund Financial Statements

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Office of Inspector General plans to begin our required audit of the EPA’s fiscal year 2025 financial statements for the Toxic Substances Control Act, or TSCA, Service Fee Fund. This audit is statutorily mandated by the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act, which amended TSCA.

The EPA's Office of Inspector General is a part of the EPA, although Congress provides our funding separate from the agency, to ensure our independence. We were created pursuant to the Inspector General Act of 1978, as amended.
