Summary

Administrative Record Availability and 30-Day Public Comment Period

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 7 has compiled the Administrative Record (AR) for Operable Unit 3 (OU3) at the Findett Corp. Superfund Site in St. Charles, Missouri. The AR is the official site file that contains technical documents with respect to response actions at the site. EPA developed this document collection to form a clear understanding of the removal action being conducted at the site.

The Findett Corp. site is divided into four different parts, or OUs. A time critical removal action is being conducted at OU3, which is the portion of the site addressing groundwater contamination that migrated from the Findett/Cadmus properties. As part of this short-term action, Enhanced Reductive Dechlorination (ERD) walls are being installed to treat contaminated groundwater in an effort to accelerate the clean-up timeline.

Written comments will be accepted during the 30-day public comment period for the AR, which began July 6 and will end August 5, 2026. The public may submit their comments to the EPA contact person listed below prior to the close of the comment period.

Site project information is available to the public at web repositories. To view cleanup documents, please visit EPA’s Site profile page (see Site Documents & Data).
