What Was Found
The EPA discontinued the use of unverified PGCCA results in agency performance metrics, but a lack of documented controls presents risk that these data may be used in the future.
The EPA's Office of Inspector General s a part of the EPA, although Congress provides our funding separate from the agency, to ensure our independence. We were created pursuant to the Inspector General Act of 1978, as amended.
