Funding Program Overviews
EPA offers many funding opportunities supported by various sources and the Agency’s regular appropriations that may benefit from climate resilience considerations. Technical assistance providers can use the program overviews on this page to help potential applicants navigate the funding opportunities provided by EPA to identify those that best match their project needs.
Each program overview includes key information to help potential applicants quickly determine how a funding opportunity may be a good fit for their project goals, including:
- Basic descriptions of the funding program.
- Types of adaptation and resilience projects that could be considered for funding.

EPA Funding Announcements from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act: Find information about current and forthcoming funding opportunities, as well as information about the federal programs that received funding through BIL and IRA. Visit the Investing in America website.
- Access to Capital Clearinghouse is a searchable database of Federal funding opportunities, including grants, loans, and tax credits, available for Tribal Nations, individuals, and businesses.
- EPA's Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund:
- National Clean Investment Fund: EPA awarded funds to three grant recipients to establish national clean financing institutions that deliver accessible, affordable financing for clean technology projects nationwide. These recipients are partnering with private-sector investors, developers, community organizations, and others to deploy projects, mobilize private capital at scale, and enable millions of Americans to benefit for the program through energy bill savings, cleaner air, job creation and more.
- Clean Communities Investment Accelerator: EPA awarded funds to five grant recipients to establish hubs that provide funding and technical assistance to community lenders working in low-income and disadvantaged communities, providing an immediate pathway to deploy projects in those communities while also building capacity of hundreds of community lenders to finance projects for years.

- Equitable Resilience Builder: Use an application that supports communities in resilience planning with a focus on equity. It engages users in a guided process to inclusively assess local hazards, equity, and the resilience of built, natural and social environment systems.

- EPA Grants Overview for Applicants and Recipients: Understand how EPA’s mission is supported through the allocation of funds to various organizations to execute environmental programs and/or projects. This overview describes how EPA employs a legal instrument known as an assistance agreement, available as grants or cooperative agreements, to transfer funds for public purposes.
- EPA Grants Management Training for Applicants and Recipients: Access an online training course aimed at acquainting federal grant applicants and recipients with the critical facets of the entire grant lifecycle, which covers the preparation of an application through the grant closeout phase.
