Erin Pias Hines

Erin Pias Hines is a post-doctoral fellow with the Reproductive Toxicology division of the Environmental Protection Agency in RTP, NC, where she works on mammary gland biology, focusing on lactation effects (work in rodent models and human studies). Erin is a graduate of Rhodes College (Memphis, TN) and LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport (Shreveport, La).

Erin's research experience in college began when she interned at NASA in the Life Science Project Division; prior to college Erin participated as a National Science Foundation Young Scholar on Project Coastal Erosion at McNeese State University. In graduate school, Erin was an instructor for the Allied Health Physiology course for four years where she was named outstanding instructor for the 2001 semester. Her graduate school work focused on neuroscience. Erin has given presentations to students in the RTP, NC, area with interactive presentations and with a focus of telling students of the possibilities of careers in the sciences.
