To protect public health following a contamination incident, sampling and analysis results will inform decisions regarding site remediation. Resulting data should be of known and documented quality to increase confidence in the decisions made.

Following a chemical, biological or radiological contamination incident, a substantial amount of data will be collected during all phases of the response. These data will need to be checked for quality and maintained to advise decision-making.
