05-12-2014 Bob Perciasepe Memo: One EPA Web Extension Concurrence Memo

This is a memo from May 12, 2014 and is provided for historical purposes. Some information may not be current.

This memo, signed by Bob Perciasepe on May 12, 2014, extends the completion date for One EPA Web content transformation to September 30, 2015.  During meetings with all program and regional offices to access their progress and to discuss their ability to meet the September 2014 deadline for completing content transformation, it became clear that while significant progress has been made, additional time is needed to complete the transformation process. The memo notes some serious downsides to delaying: the overall quality of www.epa.gov will be diminished until all content is transformed, the user experience will be worse because of the mix of templates across the site, and the Agency must pay to maintain legacy Web infrastructure an additional year.
