Project Description
The Central Coast Blue project includes design and construction of an advanced water purification facility to meet California water quality requirements for groundwater injection. Additionally, the project includes construction of conveyance infrastructure, monitoring wells, and injection wells to inject advanced purified water into the groundwater basin. By completing this project, Central Coast Blue will prevent seawater intrusion in the Santa Maria Groundwater Basin and develop a drought-resistant, sustainable water supply through groundwater recharge.
