2021 P3 Expo - Wetland and Peroxide Treated Harmful Algal Blooms
Howard University, Washington, DC
The Howard University EPA P3 team is working on a bioelectrochemical system (BES) to generate hydrogen peroxide. The hydrogen peroxide is used to mitigate cyanobacterial harmful algal blooms. The team is testing the cell and conducting a life cycle assessment to compare the BES cell with traditional application methods.
PI: Jeseth Delgado Vela, The team consists of 4 civil engineering students at Howard University interested in pollutant mitigation
