New York Carbon Monoxide SIP: Attainment demonstration, maintenance plan and Downtown Brooklyn Master Plan (transportation control measure component)

EPA Approval Date:
EPA's approval of these revisions were effective on May 20, 2002.

State Submittal:
SIP revisions dated September 21, 1990, November 13, 1992, March 21, 1994, August 30, 1999 and March 22, 2000.

Affected Areas:
New York portion of the New York-Northern New Jersey-Long Island Carbon Monoxide (CO) nonattainment area.

Summary:
This revision consisted of several components which included the New York CO maintenance plan which provides for continued maintenance of the CO NAAQS, the New York CO attainment demonstration and a revision of the Downtown Brooklyn Master Plan component of the CO attainment demonstration which removes several transportation control measures from the SIP that have been demonstrated as no longer necessary to attain and maintain the NAAQS for CO
