Upcoming Webinars on Use of Non-Animal Test Methods in Chemical Risk Assessment

For Release: May 7, 2021

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is partnering with the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) Science Consortium International, Unilever, and Syngenta on a three-part virtual workshop series on “Using In Silico and In Vitro Approaches for Next Generation Risk Assessment of Potential Respiratory Toxicants.” This webinar series supports EPA’s commitment to collaborate with partners and stakeholders to reduce, refine, or replace vertebrate animal testing, as outlined in the Strategic Plan to Promote the Development and Implementation of Alternative Test Methods within the TSCA Program.

The webinars will take place on May 19, May 26, and June 2 from 8am to 10am EDT.

Each webinar features three speakers, and the meeting agenda and registration information can be found at www.thepsci.eu/inhalation-webinars. Note that you must register for each of the three webinars individually.

Learn more about EPA’s activities to reduce animal testing under TSCA at https://www.epa.gov/assessing-and-managing-chemicals-under-tsca/alternative-test-methods-and-strategies-reduce.

This webinar is co-organized by EPA, PETA, Unilever, and Syngenta. EPA does not necessarily endorse the views of the speakers.
