Drone-based OGI cameras can be used for meeting the standard OGI survey requirements in §60.5397a(a) ,§60.5397b(a), and §60.5397c(a), on the condition that all applicable requirements for OGI and fugitives monitoring are met. This includes, but is not limited to, the owner or operator using a drone-based OGI camera that is trained and/or accompanied by a trained individual to ensure the inspection is done correctly, all applicable components are viewed from the proper angles, and understanding how to engage these devices in adverse conditions.

Applicant entities must directly represent the provider of the measurement system, must be located or have representation in the U.S., and the technology must be readily available for use.
