The Federal Electronics Challenge assisted federal agencies and facilities in meeting the goals of Executive Order 13514 (since revoked) and in facing the challenges posed by electronics acquisition, use and disposal. The program ran from 2005-2013 and the results shown below are drawn from the fiscal year 2012 FEC program, which was the last year results were collected.

FEC removed 16 tons of hazardous waste from environment
FEC removed GHG equivalent to 53 thousand vehicles a year.
FEC helped reduce energy enough to power 32 thousand homes.
