Gold King Mine Initial Administrative Record

Note: The public comment period for the Gold King Mine Initial Administrative Record closed on November 15, 2105. For the updated Administrative Record and an additional public comment opportunity, visit: https://www.epa.gov/goldkingmine/gold-king-mine-administrative-record

Since the availability of the initial Administrative Record was noticed in several newspapers in Colorado, New Mexico and the Navajo Nation, the due date for all comments will be November 15, 2015, which is 30 days from the date that the last public notice was published.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT OPPORTUNITY

THE U.S. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY (EPA)
ANNOUNCES THE AVAILABILITY FOR PUBLIC REVIEW AND COMMENT OF THE

INITIAL ADMINISTRATIVE RECORD FILE FOR THE GOLD KING MINE RELEASE SITE

SAN JUAN COUNTY, COLORADO

The initial Administrative Record file (AR) for the Gold King Mine Release Site includes the documents considered or relied upon during the emergency removal action and continuing removal action at the Site. A final AR will be available for review and public comment with the publication of the Action Memorandum. Additional documents, including the comments received on the Administrative Record file and EPA’s response to significant comments, may be added at a later date.

EPA encourages the public to review and comment on the documents.
