More Information
  • In 1997 President Bill Clinton committed federal resources to Lake Tahoe.
  • In 1998 EPA’s Pacific Southwest Regional Office permanently placed a staff member in the Tahoe Basin to provide technical support.
  • EPA also manages funds from the Bureau of Land Management’s Southern Nevada Public Land Management Act (SNPLMA) program, oversees the Clean Water Act Section 319 programs for states and tribes, manages wetlands grants, and many other funding sources available for Lake Tahoe programs.
