WASHINGTON – U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin announced he will be canceling various agency media subscriptions, totaling more than $1 million in savings for the American people. Currently, EPA spends $1.1 million in media contracts annually. Under President Trump’s leadership, EPA conducted a thorough review to identify and eliminate unnecessary expenses.

“Every dollar the EPA spends belongs to the American people, and we have a responsibility to ensure it’s used not only appropriately, but wisely. We take seriously our commitment to review every penny that goes out the door,” said Administrator Zeldin. “These are hard-earned taxpayer dollars, and they should not be spent on non-essential subscriptions to subsidize media organizations.”

Earlier this week, Administrator Zeldin announced on X that EPA will not be renewing its membership with Politico and E&E News, which saves the American taxpayers $458,919 per year.
