Environmental Financial Advisory Board (EFAB) Pollution Prevention Finance Forum

The Pollution Prevention Finance Forum is a series of webinars that explore opportunities and challenges in financing sustainability, with an initial focus on advancing-opportunities for small and medium-sized manufacturing businesses.

The first Forum, held March 9, 2022, defined the common types of pollution prevention (P2) projects relevant to small businesses and manufacturers, characterized the barriers and risks facing businesses and lenders for P2 projects, and explored financing mechanisms and structures that are well-suited to overcome these barriers and risks to enhance financing for P2 projects.

EFAB held the second in a series of webinars as part of a Pollution Prevention Finance Forum on May 10, 2022. The second Forum webinar further assessed the types of financial tools and models that are or could be made available for P2 projects and are relevant to small and medium-sized businesses and manufacturers. P2, also known as source reduction, is any practice that reduces, eliminates, or prevents pollution at its source prior to recycling, treatment, or disposal.

The third in a series of webinars as part of a Pollution Prevention Finance Forum was held on August 23, 2022. The third Forum webinar assessed partnership models and explored potential partnership opportunities and distribution networks for P2 projects. P2, also known as source reduction, is any practice that reduces, eliminates, or prevents pollution at its source prior to recycling, treatment, or disposal.
