EPA Policy on Consultation with Indian Tribes

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s policy is to consult on a government-togovernment basis with federally recognized Tribal governments when EPA actions or decisions may affect Tribes. Consultation is a process to ensure meaningful and timely input by Tribal officials prior to EPA taking actions or implementing decisions that may affect Tribes.
