Air Sensors Data Analysis Training

Background

In support of its Powering the Great American Comeback Initiative, EPA is hosting a webinar series that will further the goals of Clean Air, Land, and Water for Every American, and Permitting Reform, Cooperative Federalism, and Cross-Agency Partnership.

Air agencies and private citizens are conducting local air quality monitoring using air sensors to supplement regulatory air monitoring networks. Analyzing data collected by these air sensors can be a complex undertaking with large amounts of data and different project objectives. These webinars will provide basic techniques and resources to help attendees analyze air quality data collected by air sensors.

Training Overview

The Air Sensor Data Analysis Training consists of two webinars that will cover:

  • Fundamental information on data analysis and data wrangling
  • Tools for analyzing and visualizing data
  • Suggestions for structuring and cleaning data
  • Quality control of data
  • Best practices for publishing data
  • Data interpretation techniques

Who should attend these webinars?

This training is for anyone interested in understanding the basics of air quality data analysis. It is geared toward state, local, and Tribal air agencies, and others directly involved in air quality monitoring projects.

Agenda and Registration

  • Space is limited to the first 1,000 people who register.
  • Materials will be posted on this site prior to each webinar, and EPA anticipates posting the webinar recordings after each event.
