Audit of the EPA's Fiscal Years 2023 and 2022 Hazardous Waste Electronic Manifest System Fund Financial Statements

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Office of Inspector General plans to begin our required audit of the EPA's fiscal years 2023 and 2022 financial statements for the Hazardous Waste Electronic Manifest System, or e-Manifest, Fund. This audit is part of the OIG'soversight planfor fiscal year 2024 and is statutorily required by the Hazardous Waste Electronic Manifest Establishment Act. This audit also addresses the following fiscal year 2024top management challenge for the Agency: managing grants, contracts, and data systems.
