Summary of August 2024 Updates to Aquatic Life Benchmarks Table

EPA updated Aquatic Life Benchmarks table (view Aquatic Life Benchmarks and Ecological Risk Assessments for Registered Pesticides) August 22, 2024. This update includes the addition of estuarine/marine benchmark values, as well as NOAEC benchmark values for both vascular and non-vascular plants. As of this date, there are a total of 776 chemicals (parent compound or degradate) listed in the table.

Updates to the Aquatic Life Benchmarks include the following newly registered pesticides and their degradates (new registrations):

  • Pyraclonil;
  • Penflufen; and,
  • L-lactic Acid.

Updates to the Aquatic Life Benchmarks include new values for the following previously registered pesticides and their degradates undergoing registration review (updated registrations):

  • Acetaminophen;
  • Benzyl Benzoate (and its degradates “Benzoic Acid” and “Sodium benzoate”);
  • Chlormequat chloride;
  • Fluazaindolizine (and its degradates “IN-F4106”, “IN-QEK31”, “IN-REG72”, and “IN-VM862”);
  • Mecoprop-p acid (MCPP-p);
  • Mecoprop-p DMAS;
  • Propionic Acid;
  • Transfluthrin; and,
  • Triadimefon (and its degradate “Triadimenol”).
