Upper Animas Mining District: Draft Analytical Results Report
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment conducted a Site Inspection (SI) of the Upper Animas River watershed, located near Silverton, San Juan County, Colorado. The study was designed to evaluate the impact of mining in the Silverton Mining District. The SI was designed to bridge with sampling efforts of the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology's
Non Point Source Animas River Targeting Continuation Project, as possible under the Site Assessment program. This Comprehensive Analytical Results Report presents the results of the sampling program which was conducted intermittently from August 11 through September 16, 1997.
