On January 6, 2020, the Administrator signed an Advance Notice of Proposed Rule (ANPR) soliciting pre-proposal comments on a rulemaking that would establish new emission standards for oxides of nitrogen (NOx) and other pollutants from heavy-duty engines.

EPA sought input on this effort from the public, including all interested stakeholders.

The docket for this ANPR is available at regulations.gov Docket ID #EPA-HQ-OAR-2019-0055.

NOTE: The ANPRM and the documents linked below refer to Cleaner Trucks Initiative (CTI), which was a previous naming convention for the Control of Air Pollution from New Motor Vehicles: Heavy-Duty Engine and Vehicle Standard NPRM.
