EPA Lab/Center/Office: |
EPA Office of Research and Development, Center for Environmental Measurement and Modeling |
Location: |
Research Triangle Park, NC |
Duration: |
3 - 12 months |
Project Description: |
The project focuses on research in atmospheric chemistry to address emerging issues in air pollution and exposure to hazardous air pollutants. One or more of the following research topics could be included: (i) atmospheric modeling of ozone, particulate matter, and hazardous air pollutants, (ii) high time resolution measurements of hazardous air pollutants in the ambient air, and (iii) analysis of measurement data collected in the field or in the atmospheric chamber. All of these research areas are applied to understanding the sources and chemical pathways contributing to air pollution and exposure to hazardous air pollutants. The research will be conducted at EPA’s state-of-science modeling and atmospheric measurement facilities. |
Fellowship Goal and Learning Objectives: |
Goal: The fellow will learn and apply modeling techniques, measurement methods, data analysis, or a combination of these to advance the understanding the sources of poor air quality and exposure to hazardous air pollutants. Learning Objectives:
