Due to a lapse in appropriations, EPA websites will not be regularly updated. In the event of an environmental emergency imminently threatening the safety of human life or where necessary to protect certain property, the EPA website will be updated with appropriate information. Please note that all information on the EPA website may not be up to date, and transactions and inquiries submitted to the EPA website may not be processed or responded to until appropriations are enacted.

We've made some changes to EPA.gov. If the information you are looking for is not here, you may be able to find it on the EPA Web Archive or the January 19, 2017 Web Snapshot.

FIFRA Scientific Advisory Panel

Special Note: The FIFRA SAP & the Government Shutdown

In the absence of either a Fiscal Year (FY) 2019 appropriation or a continuing resolution for the Agency, EPA shut down at 12:01 a.m. on December 29, 2018. During a shutdown, EPA advisory committees cannot meet. Please follow news reports and visit the FIFRA SAP website (https://www.epa.gov/sap) for potential updates regarding the government shutdown and upcoming FIFRA SAP meetings.

The Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) Scientific Advisory Panel (SAP) provides independent scientific advice to the EPA on health and safety issues related to pesticides. The FIFRA SAP is comprised of biologists, statisticians, toxicologists and other experts and is augmented by members of the Food Quality Protection Act (FQPA) Science Review Board (SRB).
