Upcoming Webinars

Webinar: Proposed Amendments to the Risk Management Program Rule

EPA will host an informational webinar for federally recognized Tribes on a proposed rule to amend the Risk Management Program regulations under the Clean Air Act. The proposed amendments are the result of an EPA review of the RMP program, which has been in place since 1999 to help prevent and reduce the impacts of accidental chemical releases.

During the webinar, EPA will provide an overview of the proposed changes, including the agency’s goals to improve chemical process safety, reduce duplicative requirements, better align RMP requirements with Occupational Safety and Health Administration Process Safety Management requirements, and remove requirements where data does not show they reduce the number of accidental releases. EPA will also walk through how Tribes can participate, including options for government-to-government consultation and submitting public comments. This session is intended to support Tribal leaders and environmental staff in understanding the proposed action and in determining whether to request government-to-government consultation or submit comments during the public comment period.

Date: March 12, 2026

Time: 3:00- 4:00 PM ET (2 PM CT/1 PM MT/Noon PT/11 AM AKT)
