Peer Review of 2024 Draft Risk Evaluation for Formaldehyde
In March 2024, EPA released the Draft Risk Evaluation for Formaldehyde and related documents for public comment and peer review. The documents are posted in docket EPA-HQ-OPPT-2023-0613. The SACC discussed the draft risk evaluation and related documents during a virtual peer review public meeting from May 20-23, 2024. EPA will use feedback from the SACC and public to inform the final risk evaluation.
On August 1, 2024, EPA released the meeting minutes and final report for this meeting. The documents are posted in docket EPA-HQ-OPPT-2023-0613.
EPA published in the docket the biographies of candidates under consideration as prospective peer reviewers in February 2024; the public comment period for the candidates closed on March 14, 2024.
EPA held a virtual preparatory public meeting on May 7, 2024, for the SACC and the public to consider and ask questions regarding the scope and clarity of the draft charge questions.
