What's New in BMDS 3.3.2

Released March 2023

BMDS 3.3.2 is a minor update with the following change:

  • Fixed bug in dichotomous scaled residual calculations that occurred when estimated probability equals one.

The BMDS Release History page contains a complete list of BMDS 3.x fixes and enhancements.

Downloading

  • BMDS 3.3.2 is a Microsoft Excel-based application that runs on the Windows operating system. Follow the download procedure to ensure BMDS is properly installed. BMDS also requires the user to enable Excel macros on first startup.
  • Developers can download the BMDS 3.3 model source code to build the model DLLs used to calculate dose-response results.

Acknowledgements

The BMDS 3 application and software components are the result of a collaborative effort between EPA , the National Institute for Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).

The goal of the collaboration was to meet current dose-response needs of chemical risk assessors and introduce state-of-the-science dose-response methods, such as Bayesian analysis and model averaging.
