Where to Send Comments for EPA Dockets

Regulations.gov is our preferred method of receiving comments. However, other submission formats are accepted.

  • Alternate Submission Forms for Regional Dockets: Information about additional submission methods for dockets originating from one of EPA’s regional offices. (Docket and Document IDs will begin in EPA-R…)
  • Alternate Submission Forms for HQ Based Dockets: Instructions on how to submit comments to dockets originating from a headquarters program office. (Docket and Document IDs will begin in EPA-HQ…)
  • For more information about EPA’s Commenting Rules and Restrictions and Tips, visit Commenting on EPA Dockets.

Alternate Submission Forms for Regional Dockets

Please note that comments on dockets originating from one of EPA’s regional offices are usually to be directed to that region, not EPA Headquarters in Washington, DC. Mailing instructions for regional dockets will be included in the relevant Federal Register notice.
