The Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation Act (WIIN Act) addresses, supports, and improves America's drinking water infrastructure. Included in the WIIN Act are three drinking water grants that promote public health and protection of the environment.

Small, Underserved, Disadvantaged Communities Grant
This grant program provides assistance to underserved communities that have no household drinking water or wastewater services or are served by a public water system that violates or exceeds any Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) Maximum Contaminant Level, treatment technique, or action level.
Funding will be awarded on a non‐competitive basis to states, territories, and tribes.

Lead Testing in School and Child Care Facilities Grant
This grant program awards funding to assist local and tribal educational agencies in voluntary testing for lead contamination in drinking water at schools and child care programs.

Reducing Lead in Drinking Water
This grant program is designed to facilitate reducing lead in drinking water in disadvantaged communities through infrastructure and/or treatment improvements or facility remediation in schools and child care facilities. The goal of these projects is to address conditions that contribute to increased concentrations of lead in drinking water.
Funding will be awarded on a competitive basis for all applicants other than tribes.
