St. Tammany Parish Pollution Source Tracking for Water Quality Restoration in the Bayou Bonfouca Watershed $82,360 Sewerage, Monitoring, Maintenance and Outreach Inspect homeowner sewer treatment systems to assure compliance with LDH permit, educate homeowners on proper operation and maintenance of the systems, and reduce sewearage constituents from Bayou Bonfouca and Lake Pontchartrain. This will improve water quality in the Basin. This project will also quantify the pass/fail rate of home wastewater systems in the watershed, and compare to the previous program data.

The Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana  Maurepas Swamp Reforestation Project $209,416 Habitat Restoration The Maurepas Swamp Reforestation Project will engage approximately 360 volunteers in planting 4,500 trees, restoring 23 acres (1,012,500 square feet) of cypress-tupelo swamp, over three years.
Jefferson Parish Dept of Ecosystem and Coastal Mgmt South Pontchartrain Wetland Quality Assessment and Education Enhancement $52,500 Habitat Restoration Monitoring of the south Pontchartrain wetlands will continue to qualify their evolution and assess overall environmental health while water quality measurements will help advise public health advisories for safe utilization of the lake’s resources. Educational presentations will add to the public’s knowledge base of the importance of a healthy and functional ecosystem. 
Jefferson Parish Dept of Environmental Affairs Jefferson Parish Stormwater Management Mapping Program  $75,000 Stormwater Runoff Information to be mapped will include various activities throughout the Parish that can impact stormwater quality, such as investigations of citizen complaints, construction sites, industrial and high-risk facilities, hazardous spills, and stormwater system inspections. By developing a GIS-based mapping system, Jefferson Parish intends to utilize the data to make informed decisions on activities that can be implemented to improve stormwater quality within the Parish. For instance, if mapping data indicates a high number of stormwater quality incidents of a specific type within a particular area of the Parish, the Department of Environmental Affairs can target education to a particular area/subgroup to address a specific need.
Louisiana State University and A&M College Microbial Characterization of Effluent Discharge from In-Situ Aerobic Treatment Units (ATUs) $271,381 Sewerage  The aim of the proposed project is to deliver a high-quality characterization of the physical, chemical, and biological constituents in individual home sewer system effluent through the inspection of 100 ATUs in active use as individual household sewage systems in St. Helena Parish. As a near-term benefit in St. Helena parish, the inspections will provide homeowners with expertise to immediately remediate any no-cost deficiencies or identify any deficiencies for repair. As a long-term benefit to the Lake Pontchartrain basin, the project will provide a dataset on ATU effluent appropriate for watershed-level planning and risk assessment.
Pontchartrain Conservancy Pontchartrain Conservancy Ecosystem Restoration and Preservation Program - PRP FY21 & 22 $349,800 Habitat Restoration PC continues its water quality monitoring program that started in 2001 to assess water quality of recreational areas. PC collects water quality samples and provides data storage, analysis, quality assurance, and overall sampling and logistics of the project. An EPA/LELAP-approved lab conducts microbiological analysis and reports the results to PC. The collected data is presented to the public on a weekly basis and is stored and analyzed to assess current water quality at the selected sites, identify potential pollution sources, and is provided to agencies and researchers to further our collective knowledge about the basin environment, its challenges, and possible solutions.
St. Bernard Parish Government St. Bernard Parish Nuisance Exotic Species Mitigation and Climate Resilience  $262,500 Habitat Restoration The proposed project includes removing floating vegetation from the canals and pump station bays, drying the material along the banks, and ultimately utilizing the material as fill. Additionally, the proposed
project includes the purchase and strategic placement of aquatic debris boom near pump station intake canals for the purpose of facilitating future local nuisance exotic species management activities throughout the network.
St. Bernard Parish Public Works De La Ronde Sewer Lift Station Rehabilitation  $67,500 Sewerage The overall purpose of this grant request is to design a project to complete a full rehabilitation of the De La Ronde Sewer Lift Station. The existing station is over 40 years old and is in need of rehabilitation. The De La Ronde Sewer Lift Station serves approximately 4,000 residents in St. Bernard Parish by collecting sewage from residences and business and then pumping that collected sewage through underground piping to the Sewer Treatment Plant. 
St. John the Baptist Parish Dept of Planning and Zoning Public Education for Strategic Stormwater Management Program  $30,000 Stormwater Runoff The project will prepare educational materials such as flyers, handouts, and social media graphics to educate the public about the role each citizen plays in stormwater management, bring awareness to the importance of preserving ecosystems as it pertains to stormwater management, and inform citizens of permitting requirements and processes in place for developing wetlands and coastal use areas.
St. Tammany Parish Government Long-term Water Quality Monitoring Pre-& Post Decentralized Management Plan Implementation in St. Tammany  $313,000 Sewerage The proposed Decentralized Management Program (DMP) is located Parish wide in areas of dense
individual homeowner sewer treatment systems within the Lake Pontchartrain Basin.
Tangipahoa Parish Government Stormwater Inlet Protection Program  $96,000 Stormwater Runoff The purpose of this proposed grant for a demonstration pilot project is to develop, implement, modify, and maintain newly installed devices that will remove oil and fuel residues, sediment, and litter within these stormwater inlets. This first pilot project will install, maintain, and study data from devices to be installed at 8 selected locations that have carried lots of pollutants into area streams. These impaired streams are the Ponchatoula Creek and the Yellow Water Creek within the Lake Pontchartrain Basin.
