Borrowing Policy and Interlibrary Loan

Borrowing privileges are limited to EPA staff, on-site contractors and other libraries. The Region 5 Library does not circulate materials directly to the public.  Individuals wishing to borrow materials should contact their local public, school or university library and ask for an interlibrary loan.  The public is welcome to visit the library to use library materials on site.  To locate EPA library materials, you can search the EPA National Library Catalog, EPA Libraries' online catalog. If you have any questions, please call or e-mail.

Information For Other Libraries: We freely share materials with other libraries in North America via the OCLC Interlibrary Loan system. Our OCLC symbol is ELA and we are members of FEDLINK (Federal Libraries and Information Centers) and LVIS (Libraries Very Interested in Sharing). For libraries that do not have OCLC access, please contact the Librarian at (312) 886-6822 or library.r05@epa.gov for alternate methods.
