Incentive Programs to Reduce Mobile Source Pollution

  • Diesel Emissions Reduction Act Program
    This Program provides funding to accelerate the upgrade and turnover of legacy diesel fleets by replacing older diesel engines that lack modern emission control systems with new technologies, such as new diesel, alternative fuel, and zero-emission engines or idle reduction technologies.
  • Clean Heavy-Duty Vehicles Program
    This Program provides funding to incentivize and accelerate the replacement of existing internal combustion engine heavy-duty vehicles with zero-emission vehicles.
  • Clean School Bus USA
    This Program provides funding to replace existing school buses with zero-emission and clean school buses.
  • Clean Ports Program
    This Program provides funding for zero-emission port equipment and infrastructure as well as climate and air quality planning at U.S. ports.
  • Ports Initiative
    This Initiative provides information on funding opportunities and best practices in collaboration with the port industry, communities, and all levels of government to improve environmental performance, increase economic prosperity, and help people living and working near ports across the country breathe cleaner air and live better lives.
  • SmartWay Program
    This program helps businesses create more sustainable supply chains by moving freight in the cleanest most fuel-efficient ways possible.
